CSR – H&S Policies

We recognise that as a modern, global business, the Watts Group must be aware of, and responsible for the impacts upon society and the environment that arise through the provision of our products and services. We take our corporate social responsibilities seriously as a manufacturer, investor, employer and consumer and we are committed to understanding, managing and monitoring our environmental and social impact.

COVID19 UPDATE:  Watts of Lydney Group Head Office Coronavirus-Risk-Assessment (July 2020)

We reflect these commitments in a family of policies:

Sustaining our environment

Recognising that our activities can impact on the environment, we have formalised an Environmental Policy which seeks to mitigate these effects and positively work towards achieving sustainable development by setting standards in environmental care.

Standards of business conduct

We are committed to ensuring that our business is conducted in all respects according to rigorous ethical, professional and legal standards.

We seek to provide our customers with a service hallmarked by integrity, quality and care.

Human rights

We respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and seek to be guided by its provisions in the conduct of our business.

Modern Slavery Act 2015

Watts of Lydney Group and its subsidiaries are committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

We are guided by our aim to be the employer of choice in all countries in which we operate.

Health and Safety Policy

The health and safety of our people is of the highest priority and cannot be compromised. Our objective is to have a workplace free of incidents and injuries and our Health and Safety Policy is being constantly reviewed and adjusted where appropriate to achieve this aim. We regard suppliers as our partners and we work with them to help us achieve our policy aspirations in the delivery of our products and services, encouraging them to adopt responsible business policies and practices for mutual benefit.

We strive to be a good corporate citizen around the world, recognising our responsibility to work in partnership with the communities in which we operate.

Our corporate social responsibility policy applies throughout the Watts Group and governs our approach to all our activities.

Underlying philosophy

Watts Group believes that a responsible approach to developing relationships between companies and the communities they serve, global or local, is an essential component of delivering business success. How we interact with the world in which we operate determines our place within it and we recognise that our corporate social responsibilities to our stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and our corporate policies.
