It’s easily thermoformed, machined and fabricated making it ideal for vacuum forming and has high impact strength and chemical resistance making it ideal for demanding applications such as automotive parts.

‘It’s a great addition to our styrenics range. ABS is made up of 3 component materials polystyrene that offers thermoformability, acrylonitrile that offers fantastic rigidity, and polybutadiene that offers impact strength.
Vulkollan is a hard wearing material that is ideal for use in many industries but is normally imported taking months to turn around. Watts Urethane is a licensed Vulkollan producer in the UK and can produce this amazing material in weeks instead of months and at a much lower cost. So why is Vulkollan such a sought after material? Vulkollan is one of the best known polyurethanes and is used in many industries where there is a need for hard wearing parts. It has extremely high wear resistance, high resilience and very good temperature stability making it ideal for more demanding applications. Products typically manufactured from Vulkollan are high load carrying fork truck tyres, high duty cycle products such as bushes and bearings on trains and they’re often used for intricate components on aircraft.
